VIV China 2018 opened at the Nanjing International Expo Centre on Sept. 17 with a much larger scale on the 18th year since the trade fair entered China.
In the exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, over 500 national and international exhibitors represented on its stands cover the whole supply chain from feed to food, such as pig, poultry, milk and aquatic products.
In recent years, China’s animal husbandry has embarked a path of getting intelligent and the market development have aroused the global attentions. This exhibition showcased many domestic brands in each stage of the whole industry chain, such as feed, animal health, breeding, slaughtering and processing. Meanwhile, more than 100 international companies from countries including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Malaysia, Russia, Belgium, Italy and South Korea brought innovative products and leading ideas in the industry.
“The Chinese market has great potential for development,” said Rico van Stuyvenberg of a Dutch manufacturer of poultry slaughtering and cooling equipment.
Rico said he and his colleagues were visiting China for the first time and this was also the first time for the company to participate in the trade fair.
“Our machines are selling well in Europe and we have also entered the South African market. The company decides to enter the Chinese market after realizing the development potential here,” said Rico.
He also said some Chinese companies were already interested in their mechanical products and the company is expected to enter the Chinese market in early 2019.
