To demonstrate the unique charm of Donghai's crystal, Donghai County has successfully held 10 Crystal Festivals since 1991. And now, the Crystal Festival is a distinctive festival in the northern part of Jiangsu and the southern part of Shandong.

　　On October 16th, 2009, Donghai County held the 10th Crystal Festival, under the theme "Crystal World, Blessed Donghai." Under the principle of "keeping with the international trend, close cooperation in five places, market operation and full participation" and the guidelines of "promoting Donghai through crystal industry; enhancing development by attracting trade and investment," Donghai County included a series of activities in last year's festival. Those activities include: the Silicon Industry Summit Forum with the slogan “New Materials, New Technology and New Opportunities;” the first International Crystal Exhibition; China's mainstream media talk with Donghai; 30 provincial TV stations reporting on Donghai; the Donghai Crystal Princess Model Contest; famous Chinese artists' works collection on crystal; the crystal crafts competition; the Yangko and Drum Competition; the Chinese Poetry Summit in the 21 century; the International Spa Cultural Forum, and the "Crystal Girl" theatrical performances. 

　　In addition, the county government also organized 1,000 customers to visit Donghai County and held the promotion meeting and signing ceremony of the Donghai investment environment. In short, Donghai County is taking full use of its advantages in silicon materials, agricultural products deep processing industry and machinery manufacturing to open a new era for the county.
